Bill was a friend from high school and a fucking awesome kid.

He died last week and this is a tribute to him. He was wicked adventurous and totally unstoppable at anything he wanted to do. He was a huge Batman fan (the memorial was littered with Bat symbols) and a big barefoot enthusiast. The shoes are Vibram Five Fingers [link] and once I showed them to him he hated to wear anything else

Bill was one of a kind, and I miss him a lot.

This is amazing! I love your style, I am so sorry to hear about your friend....I know I'm late but i just found this. This inspires me to make a superhero that wears VFFs, I have owned 3 pairs and I am looking to buy a new pair those are amazing shoes. keep up the good work.

yeah I think they are awesome and I got the ok from my boss to wear them at work. She said it does have a tie on it and nobody would probably notice. Nobody cared about my toe shoes lol

I met Bill in High School as well (at Woburn High, however) and we became really great friends. This picture, like I said above, is amazing. And perfect. It IS Bill Joyce. Thank you so very much for this wonderful tribute. You've captured so much of who Bill was in this one picture. It's really fantastic on so many different levels...

Just so sad that it happens, mate. I didn't know Bill, but your image gives me an idea he was a totally bubbly, full of life kinda guy. RIP Bill.
